The San Sebastián-based company Oroi, specializing in extended reality (XR) solutions for the social and healthcare sector, has taken another step in its international growth strategy with the acquisition of Kaleido VR, a company headquartered in the Czech Republic. With this expansion, Oroi accelerates its growth in Central Europe and expands its client network to over 1,000 in the social, healthcare, and assistance sectors.
“This acquisition is a very important step for us. We are not only growing in size, but also strengthening our position as a leading European platform for technological solutions in the social sector,” explains Jorge Maylin, CEO of Oroi. This is the third corporate transaction for the Gipuzkoa-based company, following the integrations of FeelU in France (2024) and VR Pharma in Spain (2025).
The integration of Kaleido VR brings new technological capabilities and in-depth local knowledge of markets such as the Czech Republic, Germany, and Slovakia to the group. In addition to the therapeutic and care solutions already developed by the Czech company, training programs based on virtual reality are now included, thus expanding Oroi’s offering and its capacity to meet new needs in the social and educational sectors.
Although the Gipuzkoa-based company already had some activity in countries such as Germany and Switzerland, this acquisition represents its first solid presence in the region, allowing it to scale its impact and commercial presence more quickly.
The company, which currently operates in Spain, France, Belgium, and Central Europe, and has distributors in the United States and Australia, maintains a roadmap focused on progressive and sustainable growth, combining its own development and strategic acquisitions. In recent years, Oroi has recorded a turnover increase of close to 170%, in a market in full consolidation phase.
