This first laboratory, located in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, will promote the exchange of experiences and the co-construction of solutions between the Ramsay Santé group’s establishments and local innovative companies. It brings together the Cliniques de l’Atlantique in La Rochelle, Aguiléra in Biarritz, Jean le Bon in Dax, Belharra in Bayonne and the Basque Country Cardiology Centre in Bayonne. The Living Lab focuses primarily on surgery and sustainable development, with the aim of improving health through constant innovation.

The Ramsay Santé group plans to open nine other laboratories, five in France and four in the Nordic countries in which it operates, to strengthen its innovation capabilities. These laboratories will be connected to the group’s international network, in order to respond to operational, technical, organisational and environmental issues in all the group’s establishments, sharing the ideas and practices already in place.

This initiative also offers a unique opportunity to share innovative solutions across borders, in partnership with French, Swedish, Norwegian and Danish start-ups. The Living Labs will be supported by Ramsay Santé’s Innovation & Partnership Hub to develop innovative healthcare solutions and offer an acceleration programme to mature start-ups.

The Ramsay Santé group is already inviting all employees and physicians in its establishments to share their ideas to make innovation in healthcare a priority.
